For some time now, I’ve been looking for a triple-charging solution for my Apple devices. However, that need has been somewhat aspirational as I gear up to purchase a new pair of Airpod Pros with the wireless charging case. So I was rather happy to see an email in my inbox from a company that sells just such a device, and they wanted to know if I wanted to review one such product of theirs.
The JoyGeek 3-in-1 Wireless Charger is a Qi-certified device that creates an elegant solution for anyone looking to charge their iPhone, Apple Watch and Airpods case within one simple, refined base station that doesn’t take up a huge amount of space. Ever since Apple somewhat embarrassingly cancelled their supposed multi-charger solution, dubbed, AirPower, many companies have stepped in to fill the void.
The JoyGeek charger can simultaneously charge your iPhone, Apple Watch and Airpods and has three distinct charging areas for each device. Using one simple USB-C cable, this charging platform feels well-balanced with enough weight in all the right places to avoid any unwanted tipping or flimsiness. The device’s exterior is coated in a nice Silicone coating, which makes handling it a pleasure and will ensure no scratches on your valuable Apple devices.

DESIGN
The front of the device features an inclined wireless charging surface for your iPhone and can support vertical and horizontal orientation charging, which is a nice touch. Available in black and white colourways, the JoyGeek stands about 5 inches tall and holds your phone at a 64-degree angle which allows for FaceID unlock without the need to contort or crane your neck. The iPhone charging area held every iPhone I tested on it (iPhone 11, iPhone 8+, and iPhone 12 Pro Max) nicely by way of a bottom lip.
The Apple Watch charging platform runs parallel to the base of the charger. It is elevated off the ground to allow you to essentially hang your watch off the approximately 1″ diameter platform. Located about 5″ above the charging station base, it ensures that even really long watch bands are kept off the surface below.

When it comes to charging devices, small details can make a huge difference. That’s why I was happy to see that the front of the device features three LEDs to indicate a connection with each of the charging areas. They light up for twenty seconds upon the initial charging contact and then turn off, thus making this a perfect 3-in-1 wireless charging station for your bedside. I wish more companies that produce these devices would realize that not everyone enjoys bright LEDs shining in their room at night when trying to get a good night’s rest.
Finally, both the AirPods charging area and the Apple Watch charging area have built-in magnets to keep your devices in place while charging. Another fitting feature given how well this company has paid attention to the design of this gadget.

PERFORMANCE
After about a month of use, I’ve had no problems whatsoever with this device. It’s never gotten especially warm, probably due to the perforated rear of the device, which provides ample heat dissipation. The 3W, 5W, and 10W charging pads all performed admirably in terms of charging times in my tests.
iPhone 8 plus
